The question I have is regarding the HD payload package. I ordered the screw w/ 5.0 3.73 e locker and towing package but there was no option when building the truck to include HD payload. Is that only offered for certain models or is that package already included in my selection?

 

Only certain models and trims.
Nothing above Lariat.
No SCab+6.5'bed
No SCrew+5'bed
Most high end trims eliminate it.

It sucks really.

 

I have the Lariat though and it wasn't an option.... It's annoying, just because I use my truck for hauling now and then doesn't mean I wanna give up the nice to have features of a Lariat like leather.

They really need a package that offers leather without being such a premium package like the Lariat but they want to get buyers into higher end pickups as that's where the margins are. I know you can get leather installed to the XLT but I think a hybrid of both would be perfect. Should have kept the FX4 instead of making it a package

 

You got the 502A option and 5.5' bed. That removed the HD Payload. As does the 501A Option package.

You can only get the Lariat with 500A and HD Payload. But that includes the leather trimmed seats.

EDIT: At least that's how it works in the Canadian Build & Price.

 

I don't get why that is a thing if your gonna make it an option on one lariat package why not extend it to all models. Makes no sense. I wonder how many extra pounds of payload is included vs the 501 and 502a

 

Add Katzkin aftermarket leather. Will be a better quality leather anyways.

What I would like to see is the HD Payload with the SCab 6.5' bed.
But it's never been there.
Dunno why.

 

i don't know because I have never sat in them but my Lariat leather seats are pretty comfy. I wouldn't change a thing about them
