Column shift because of the extra room it creates between the front seats. But it wasn't an option for what I bought especially buying off the lot.

The best part about the column shifter is... road head.

But I hate driving when I'm sleepy.

I like console shifters. Why? Because I do. I like shifting there, and in some (like my F150) I like sometimes setting my hand on it while driving.

Fortunately in a vehicle the size of an F150 I can have my cake and eat it to, there's plenty of console storage in my truck along with the console shifter, the on-it's-side phone trough, and the cubby where the USB ports are. And the pockets on either side of the console/tunnel. And the door pockets. Storage everywhere

Took a second to understand it was another stab at the current vehicle status that has become more commonplace.

I'll be there one of these days, but am enjoying the present as much longer as I can hold on to it. hahaha
Some people just live their lives angry I guess *shrug*

Really going out of your way when the complaint is about something buyers have a choice on lol

Yes. After I sat in one that had a console shifter I was sold. To me the shifter just fits there. I don’t know, just looks more modern or something, regardless, I like it in the console!

Maybe the console shifter brings back memories of the beloved four on the floor shifter. Just looks and feels right.

The thin area between the shifter and the cup holders -is that really meant for a phone? Mine has been there since I got the truck but didn't realize that's the goal!
That would make sense why the lid of the console has the cutout for the coil cord charger.
