When the valves hit the piston in #4, it most likely damaged the piston/rod/rings, or any combination of those things, seemed liked a half azzed repair.

Involve Ford. Is it within 3yr/36,000 miles? Petition for free premium certified warranty if you keep it. I had something similar happen to mine but it was the throttle body, this sounds like something different; possibly related to the long block since they cited head issues. It sucks for such a new truck! I wish you the best.

Default Opening a Ford Warranty Claim

I tried the chat today on Ford's website and they were useless. Spoke with the dealer I took it to, didn't buy it from them, and they can't look at it until tomorrow. Does anyone know how I can contact an actual warranty claim rep? I know I will need the diagnosis before I can contact them.

only option you have is to call ford customer service, everything else is up to the dealer

My experience calling Ford customer service is that they are nimrods. Pretty disappointing after a great experience I had with Honda of America a few years ago. This is my first Ford, and I hope I didn't make a mistake.

Have your tried contacting the dealership you bought the truck from? Can't remember if you mentioned that anywhere after reading 50+ post .
Some people have better results that way.

From my experience things get done faster in person to person contact. Next time you talk to the dealer tell them it is unacceptable.

I am heading there today during lunch. Just spoke to the dealer who has my truck and they think it's the new head that was put in. They can't open the the motor for another 3 weeks because they are behind. Wish me luck. I haven't had the best experience with Gwinnett Place Ford.

Hahaha. I've owned 4 of them over the years .some were good, some were bad. The overheating issue of you don't use a OEM thermostat was one thing I learned the hard way.
