Today I had a ford dealer install a set of bilstein 5100, front and rear, around my truck. Front are suppose to be at the 1.75" setting.

I think one of the spring seats is upside down. Just not sure which. what do you think? FWIW i think my truck is leaning to the passenger side. left and right measure about an inch different from ground to top of outside fender. Passenger is shorter than driver. Here are a couple pictures.

Thanks guys. I kinda figured something was up as cockeyed as the truck seemed to be. Just wasnt sure which side was jacked up. I'll definitely be taking it back first thing in the morning.

on another note, this same dealer, while installing the passenger side, managed to jack up the connection for the speed sensor and needs to replace the whole front wheel bearing because of it. i had already planned to go back saturday for the wheel bearing repair since they didnt have the part in stock. so they managed to screw up both sides in the front on the install.

This is my first experience with this dealer. needless to say ive lost confidence. thankfully there are a couple other ford dealers around.

 

I would like to see the alignment sheet. I'm surprised they didn't notice when one side of the truck measured completely different than the other.

 

Thanks for bringing that up. they said they would do alignment and I didnt even ask about it. I'll defintely ask for a copy of the sheet tomorrow. But i bet they didnt even check it. damn dealer. i'm pissed.

 

Cant believe they gave it back to you like that. Stories like this and others make me never want to get any service done at any dealer.
