Default Bed Camera / Sync 3

I know someone was working to intergrate a front camera to the existing Sync 3 system - what about a bed camera like the new super duty has? I'm surprised this wasn't included in the 150 lineup.

It would be awesome if someone could figure this out! I wonder if the bed light with camera mounts similar to the 150 bed light?

I'm all in for more camera integration in the F150/2016/Sync3...

All that would be needed would have been and AUX-VIDEO-INPUT in Sync3...

Since the F-150/Super duty share the same Cabs. That light is Exactly the same dimension, as the F-150's!

If your good at wiring, it'll work...

While it's a kinda cool toy, unless towing a gooseneck trailer. It seems kinda useless, at least to me...

I'd prefer to have a front Logo cam, for parking....

I disagree here, I think it would be extremely helpful to see your cargo while driving down the road. I'd like to see a bed/cargo camera you can view while driving (even if it means bypassing the system to allow camera viewing while driving).

I have said quite a few times lately, "man, I wish I would see my straps back there" and I pull over to check on them, or whatever I am hauling in the bed. I mean, it's a 1st work problem for sure, but people are shelling out $50-$60k now for these trucks....I think it's not too much to ask.

Anyone ever look any further into this? Would be a cool option to have the bed camera and be able to enable it with the screen how they switch it in the F250. Wonder if you would need a F250 APIM or IPMB or if this is just a value that could be changed in Forscan to enable the switching between the cameras. Its especially interesting that there is a AUX option.

Someone please figure out how the make the Ford Bed Camera or the AUX camera input work on the F-150's!

I'd buy and install today if I had any clue how to make it possible! ha

Ok. Did a little looking. All the f250s that have the 3rd brake light have a IPMB. Unfortunately I don't have one so going that route would not be cost effective. Another option would be adding the light and making a harness to have the tailgate and 3rd light cam feed the same and have on a switch. Possibly the bedlight switch. Hmmm

The Naviks harness lets you add an AUX IN port... it might not be as "clean" as the factory solution as far as activating the camera, and it isn't cheap, but it would work.

Higher trim F150s already have a front view camera that can be used for parking.
