I wired mine to a rca coax video receiver that comminicates wireless to a wireless transmitter camera feed on the back of my travel trailer. Works very well.

Do yoh have the smartphone mirror attachment? That looks awesome.

No I wasn’t very interested in that. I mainly wanted it for the video input capability for my trailer camera. I’m not positive but I think the phone mirror interface essentially provides a wireless link to an interface box which uses the same non-HD coax video input.

Arrow guys is that it?

why were we going with this and just stopped? Since July 2017? has anyone that was doing any of this work completed without having to use a stupid PAC or LOCKPICK type of device? I've got a 2015 F350 Dually Ultimate addition. a friend gave me his third brake light from his 2017 F250 Lariat after he wrecked it. he also gave me one of those $130 mount anywhere cameras that I mounted inside of my ranch hand full bumper pointed to the front and down of course. has anyone gotten this to work on their trucks? any pictures and walkthrough would be great.

I found this; https://camera-source.com/automotive...2-display.html
when I started looking into a camera last week; https://www.f150forum.com/f118/third...camera-428854/
As of now I have a 4.2" screen so it works for me, others are available. A complete kit with a camera that will look clean after install. You just need run the harness and the cameras can be toggled for viewing. Of course it looks like it will only "see" in reverse as does the tailgate camera. Maybe some help from the forscan experts on that? I asked and they were happy to accommodate, emailing the install directions so I could see how much is involved.

Yes it would be sweet if you could add a brake light camera to the 2018 F150.... I have a front camera on my lariat and the 360 cameras.....

I’ve got the cameras, I just need to know how to hook this stuff up. It’s irritating that I can’t figure this out.

I added a backup camera to the third brake light using a Brandmotion harness, a backup camera off Amazon, and aftermarket brake light. Total cost was about 275 for everything

The camera I bought has an option for lines or no lines, I have them turned off in this picture, but wired in a toggle switch in case I want to turn them on. The harness I bought has a toggle switch to flip between the stock tailgate camera and brake light camera, but I haven't figured out where to mount it yet. Installation wasn't bad, I just had to take the dash apart a few times to work everything out.

Looks great! Could you please provide me with a link for the wiring harness and the camera you used? I am looking to do the same to my truck, only I plan on using the OEM 3rd brake light. How did the camera fit/ mount to the 3rd brake light?
