Bad backup camera
2015 KR supercrew 360 camera at first just different colored vertical lines. then it would start working again. Now it like it takes a picture when you put it in reverse and that is it. But most of the time its just lines. Has been in the shop at least 8 times putting on different parts. Now it will not work at all Now Ford is saying that all the camera's have to be lined for it to work and that is a special tool. Just feel that I'm getting the run around. Has anyone had this problem and was there a fix?

After 3 times I think I would have stated that it needs to be completely replaced and working on this visit or they can start the paperwork to replace the truck. Camera replacement with all wiring and labor is far less expensive than replacing truck.
The camera is a main reason I like my truck. Far easier in many places than using just mirrors.

2016 King Ranch - Delivered March 2016:
I have had backup camera issues also. Five trips so far to the dealer.
1. Problem intermittent did reboot. Worked for a while. Visit 1.
2. Stopped working. Dealer ordered a rearview camera. Visit 2.
3. Installed camera but need a "tool". Visit 3
4. Realized they already had the tool, tried to use without success. Still dead camera. Visit 4.
5. Truck dropped off at dealer 1/2/17 given loaner car. Told them to keep the truck until it is fixed. Today is 1/5 and a module is arriving from Memphis today. Will install and see if it corrects the problem. Service manager tells me this is new to the Ford Hotline Support as 2016 is a different camera system.
Any bets of whether this corrects problem? I am doubtful.

I just upgraded my sync system to sync3 v2.2 on my own from downloading the file from forum and so far no problems....

I've had similar issues very infrequently, like maybe 2% of the time I shift into reverse, and even then for only a second or two. My lines are horizontal, though. And I have experienced it since upgrading Sync3 to v2.2.
