Default Some resolution

Dealer says the cameras are out of alignment and need to be calibrated. Apparently they drive the truck up on a mat with QR codes on them and the trucks cameras read them and the software recalibrates.

Apparently this takes a significant amount of time and only a few techs can do it well. Trying to reschedule with my local stealership. Covered under warranty as well.

Default Vertical coloured lines

Same issue just happened with mine. Noticed it was doing an update the other day which the help line told me shouldn’t happen on its own. Screen showed all coloured lines next time I backed up, then the next time worked fine, and now only shows the lines. Help line said to do a master reset, but that didn’t fix it so now I am booked with dealership for software update, which sounds like the same thing some of you guys have done without much improvement. Of course my warranty expired 2 months ago. Will see what happens next week. Did anyone have it resolved permanently?

My truck has been at the dealship since last Friday to have this issue cleared up as well as fixing the panoramic sunroof that won’t retract. Haven’t head a word from the service advisor. Will be calling today for a prognosis. I’ll update as the saga continues.

Default Sunroof

Had the same issue with my sunroof- they had to replace a clip that had broken, luckily was still in warranty at the time. I had to have it adjusted twice following that as it was sticking when opening, but now seems fine. I have an appt Tuesday to get my camera screens looked at, will update once I get it back

Just found this after posting a new thread. Been having the camera issue with my 16 limited for probably 6 months now. I think they replaced one of the cameras last weekend...didn't help.

Did anyone get their cameras permanently fixed? Did that calibration thing do the trick for anyone?

Mine happens once in a blue moon, and all I do is turn the truck off then back on and its gold.

Sorry for the slow follow up, works been busy. So took the truck in and left it with the dealer for a week. Got the truck back and lo and behold ... cameras still don't work correctly. They said there were no codes so nothing to fix. Updated the software and said that fixed the issue. Backed up before leaving the dealership and the camera worked. Made a stop on the way home and the camera didn't work when I returned to the truck.

I'll be bringing the truck back and demanding they do a calibration on the cameras. I was told by another Ford Services adviser that calibration is the issue and seems to be a PITA for the service guys and they try to do anything not to do the calibration.

More to follow ....

Generally when you get lines like that, it's a sign of a bad graphics processor. I doubt changing out the camera, recalibrating or updating software will fix it. The issue will appear to be resolved at times, but mostly only when the truck is cold and the sync module hasn't warmed up yet. Electronics, especially chipsets are very heat sensitive, which normally it isn't a problem unless you've got a compromised processor.

100% agree. This is graphics processor or I was also thinking corrupt memory somewhere. The question is how do I get ford to look at or replace these components...and what part number represents the thing that needs to be replaced if the gpu/memory are the issue.
