Yup, this happened to me a few weeks ago and it scared the hell out of me because the truck just died as I was rolling to a stop sign and went to hit the gas pedal. it's almost like the truck got caught in between the moving/stopping and hesitated and just shut off. What's weird is I think I had the auto start/stop disabled at the time though. I dunno, but just like you guys, I had to stop fully, put in park and start the damn thing back up again. Good thing I wasn't trying to make a quick turn against traffic. Glad you snapped a picture of it since it hasn't happened again since. Will have to keep an eye on it.

That is so friggin dangerous.... enough of a reason to disable it all together. If that happened to me pulling into an intersection or something I would drop my truck off at the dealer and never pick it back up. Not uncommon to have three kids in the back seat of my truck. Terrifying.

mine is disabled and i usually have my 4 year old in my truck so it really annoyed me. It has not happened to me since so i fear dropping it at the dealer they will probably never replicate it

Luckily I was on a small side road where my daughter's school is. I had time to stop, take the pic and figure out what the hell was going on. I believe the battery symbol is present when the truck is on but not running. I will verify that later when I am home and at the truck. I stopped by the dealer today and showed the service advisor the pic. He was perplexed by it and had no idea about it. I am swinging by tomorrow so he can hook up the scanner to check for codes.

Same thing happened to a user over on the Wrangler JL forums. He let off the brake to turn and a moment after he hit the gas, the Jeep stalled. It was a dangerous situation as he was turning to cross a major intersection. It's not just a Ford problem.

Exactly what happened to me. I also got the same screen pop up that OP got.

This happened to me a month ago.

Took it to the dealer, they said they reprogrammed/flashed something and fixed it. No parts/repairs required.

Hasn't happened since.

Anyone aware of a wreck caused because of this? If this is happening to people even when the *** is disabled I am very concerned. Seems like a major recall or lawsuit waiting to happen.

Will you please post up a copy of your Service Invoice (personal info redacted, of course) with the procedure they performed so I can show it to my dealer and ask him to do the same for mine?

Thanks.
