Auto headlight sensor
I have a 2018 supercrew and notice that the auto headlamps come on anytime that I am in the shade or even with the sun not hitting the sensor. I did have my windows tinted 35%, so that could be the problem. But my last ford had the same exact tint and the sensor was never this sensitive to low light. Anyone else experiencing this?
Considering the sensor is based off the windshield (best seat in the house) and you're not foolish enough to run 35% on your windshield - We'll have to chalk this up to being the sensor is just calibrated differently or your situation is different.
End of the day. Who cares.

I have a 2017 and feel I also have this problem. The other day my lights turned off at night in an extremely well lit work zone. They seem to turn on and off a lot. It's almost like it needs to have a longer delay time to either turn on or turn off.
yup 2017, same deal here. More of just a "why in the hell isn't there a longer delay built in?" kinda deal.
I drive through a very short rail bridge underpass in the mornings, like 20ft and a second or two to get through and the lights turn on/screen switches over just as I'm coming out only to immediately switch back again.

Side and rear windows shouldn't affect the sensor since it's right under the windshield.
I am of the opinion that it is VERY sensitive and sometimes annoying. My previous car was better, it waited at least 2-3 minutes, when going in a tunnel for instance, before actually changing the light settings.

Adds 13 sec. delay on slow to factory 2 sec. for 15 sec. delay.

mine will come on driving through a shaded area in the late afternoon, but ive never had a problem with them turning off because of street lights or anything like that.
