Don't know if this controls sensitivity or what.
That would be a good question to ask in the Forsan thread, sounds promising. Next time I have the computer hooked up I may just try it and see.

Interested to see if someone can tone down the sensitivity.

They are working as designed. They are programmed to recognize a gradual decrease or increase in light like sunset or sunrise. But also to react quickly when light changes suddenly. The are supposed to react within a few seconds if you enter or exit a tunnel or parking garage. You don't want them to take 2-3 minutes to turn on when you enter a dark parking garage. This is an improvement over the older systems. My Mom had a Buick Park Avenue with Twilight Sentinel and it had to be almost completely dark before they would turn on. And when you went into a parking garage you would have parked the car before the lights turned on.

I have also noticed the sensor seems to be a bit "sensitive". The headlights in the F150 will turn on almost every time I go under an underpass or the light is blocked by buildings downtown. Annoying, but not the end of the world. Would be nice to have them set slightly less sensitive if that were possible. No bid deal though.

I'm sure when your under the overpass you are stationary like waiting for a traffic light. In this situation since the truck suddenly went from daylight to dark and it doesn't sense daylight again within a few seconds it thinks you must be in a tunnel or garage and turns on the lights. When you're in the shadows of tall buildings downtown the light level is low enough for the truck to turn on the lights to make you more visible to other drivers. Lighting is not just for you to see in the dark but also for others to see you.

Changed FORScan value today seems to be helping- today was able to pull in my garage with the sun shining and lights didn't come on immediately, for the past 16 months they would come on as soon as I would entered the garage. I'm guessing about a 15 second delay on slow, haven't timed it but much much better so far.

So what did you start with, and what did you change it too?

mine does the same thing. lights cut on anytime the dash is in the shade. doesn't have to be under a bridge or anything. it does it when the sun is behind the truck and not shinning directly on the dash.
the system in my 17 year old toyota worked much better. annoying. ive never had the lights cut off though...only on when they don't need to.

I am of the opinion that it is VERY sensitive and sometimes annoying. My previous car was better, it waited at least 2-3 minutes, when going in a tunnel for instance, before actually changing the light settings.
Tunnels I've been through headlights on is the law.
