Adding Heated Mirrors
I just added heated mirrors to my 2020 XLT and also swapped out the dash bezel to one with the defrost button,
in my case everything was plug and play.
I guessed that it would be, because when I checked the fuse box under the hood,
the fuses for rear window defrost and the heated mirrors fuse were present.
Did you check to see if you have the fuses present ?
It's possible that you may only need to add the heated mirrors fuse,
it's also possible that location in your fuse box doesn't have the wiring populated which will make this a lot harder.
If you look in your owners manual you can find a diagram of your underhood fuse box that
lists the number of each fuse and it's function,
then you can check to see if that fuse is present and if not check to see if you have terminals for a fuse or just a blank spot.
If the slot is empty, you should be able to tell by shining a flashlight into the slot if it has terminals for a fuse.
I am curious if your truck has everything in place and if it's an XL or an XLT,
mine is the 300A XLT, so it did not have heated mirrors or heated back window but,
it was prewired for those things including having the fuses present.
I also replaced my manual seat with a power one and, it was literally plug and play.
