Can someone please help me out here. I too took on this project of adding the heated mirrors to my 2020 XL that came with just the base power mirrors. No rear defrost either. I have swapped out my fuse box with one that has the heated mirror and rear defrost fused spots, I've swapped out the button panel with one that has the rear defrost button, and of course the mirrors I've swapped. I enabled everything I can find in forscan to enable and still the rear defrost button does not illuminate / activate when the truck is on or when I press it. It is the only one that does not have backlight either when the headlights are on. Any ideas? Cause I'm fresh out. I could do the jumper wire thing and add a new switch, but I'm trying to keep it OEM.

Just to rule out the obvious here, you've added the correct fuse in the panel and tested the fuse works?

Yep. Confirmed both fuses (the one for the mirrors and the one for the rear defrost) were both good. Even replaced them with brand new ones just on the off chance lol. My only other thought is maybe the control boards inside the radio bezel (where the factory harness plugs into on the back) needed to be swapped out? But from everything I'm reading, the wiring and stuff is already there as far as that part goes. Both of my mirrors plugs have all 8 wires going into the mirrors. So I'm at a loss. Others have said simply adding the switch and the correct fuse box made theirs work. That's not the case for me. No one on the forscan forum will reply to these same questions.

Did you just replaces the switch section or the complete FCIM? The FCIM is the part of the dash that surrounds the screen and has the switches on the bottom. If you just replaced the switches, it will not work, nothing there

I did get a new bezel piece since I upgraded to a larger radio, however I swapped all the guts from inside my old bezel to the new one minus the new switch. So I need to get the different control boards that go inside the bezel? I was thinking that was most likely the issue.

Default Quality on after market mirrors?

I too am very interested in adding heated mirrors to my '19 STX. Any opinions on the best quality brand for knock offs? Any that match the thick plastic of the OEM? If I go that route instead of OEM, I certainly don't want some made of flimsy plastic. There are so many after market mirrors, I thought I'd ask!

Thanks in advance.....

FYI It's a 15 minute install start to finish and all you need is a 10mm socket.
