I can tell you that AES system works for sure. How do I know? I was on a crowded city street with some little shopping centers on my side. Before I knew it an idiot on a bicycle shot in front of me. I didn’t see anything until the the system flashed on and pre-charged the breaks and was to go. This could save a life.

AES works well, chime, and big red flashing dash. 2019 Limited All other is good, tows a boat well, fun to drive power, great handling, getting 17-18 around town, 20 highway(Utah is 80mph).

I have a 2019 5.0 STX. I drove it 400 miles Saturday, a total of 2300 so far. I have added about a pint of oil now and the only thing I notice is a small tick etc from the engine. The truck gets around 21 on the highway and 19 stop and go. And that is checking it the old fashioned way. I notice about 1 mpg higher on the feel good meter.
Overall I love this truck.

Nice but did it stop the truck?

Fortunately, I was on the brakes already. It did warn me in time to stop in more than enough time. We could make a human looking made of cardboard and drive towards it and see how it works.

It stopped my truck when an idiot cut in front of me in heavy traffic and immediately slammed on his brakes.

Other than a faulty cross-traffic sensor that the dealership replaced under warranty, no problems in 6 weeks and over 4,000 miles. I DO miss having a CD player.

Some guy on Youtube did that, and his truck hit the dummy, repeatedly. Not sure that's an accurate test of the system.

You have that backwards. The depreciation on either is about the same when you drive off the lot. When you sell your truck, the model year won't make as much difference in its value as the mileage and overall condition, which would be the same. However, you can get a much larger discount on the earlier model year when you buy. The math says go with the earlier model.

F150 SCREW, 2.7, XLT, 2018, 10K miles. Only issue so far was noisy leaf springs when new. Springs ro their clamps replaced, no noise since. All is good. I live in So Cal and AC is a must. The AC/heater/ seat heaters are more effective than my 2014 Cadillac XTS Platinum V-Sport.

Have you ever owned a Honda??? lol. I'd say Ford and Honda are comparable with the inability to fix minor issues before royally pissing off their customers. Oh well, that's the 1% I guess.
