Default 2018 or wait?

There are still quite a few 2018 3.5 eco Lariats on dealership lots around here. I'd like to treat myself to my first truck, but don't necessarily need one right this second. Was wondering if it is worth it to wait til maybe a 2019 or 2020 to see if such things get fixed such as frozen door locks, leather butt imprint, water in the doors issues, panoramic roof issues, etc.

I feel like if I wait there will still always be issues with the newer year trucks no matter what.

Now is a good time to get a deal on a 2018. The majority people don't have any issues with their trucks, it just seems like it on this forum because this is where everybody goes to talk about it.

If you are waiting for the perfect car/truck that is trouble free--you will NEVER have one! My 1 year old 18 Limited has been flawless!

If you are waiting for the perfect vehicle I suggest you reconsider your desire to purchase a truck or anything with a motor and 4 wheels.

Op, if you don’t want butt print in the seat get the retractable steps. Mine is 10 months old and seats look brand new. My 16 the seats were shot in 6 months. Just don’t slide in or out and seats be fine

If you want it, get it. Waiting will only add to your anxiety. 99% of these trucks are reliable & trouble free.

It really depends on how tolerant you are. If you end up being one of the few that gets a truck with issues, do not expect Ford to fix them (they won't...worst car manufacturer I've ever dealt with when it comes to standing behind a warranty). You have to be willing to take that chance...most of the issues brought up on here have been left unresolved by Ford for a long time and there's no sign of that changing. If you can tolerate the problems, then you'll be happy...otherwise you'll end up regretting your purchase like many on this forum. I know this is an unpopular view point but it's the truth...just something to think about.
