2018 Crew Cab XL 2.7 Eco 63K miles. The problem I have is that my tailgate will not lock or unlock when button pressed and back up camera stopped working. I get a camera is unavailable on my radio display. Tailgate handle does not have a key lock.

Checked fuses, connectors under truck and no issues found. Took it to a shop that kept it two full days and they couldn't figure it out. Dealer has a two week waitlist.

Any ideas or suggestions to fix the issue.

Has anyone found an aftermarket handle for key and camera?

 

I would suggest the wires that go to the lock and the camera broke dues to open/close bendy bendy for years.

 

After 7 years and 85,000miles, one of my horns quit working; I was able to fix it myself for about $70.
