Good to hear some positive results....
I have not had a problem, but got a letter.

So I'm waiting till spring to take it in......unless I start having the problem.....
Once the weather warms up I can pull other forms of transportation out.

After having all four done with the TSB last year, the passenger rear still freezes. They've had it twice in the last two weeks and determined the latch in that door is bad. Waiting on parts.

Last year my doors froze in our unheated garage that was @ 28 F. So yes anything under 32 F or 0 C they can freeze. Mine froze several times this year at above 20F. Dealer worked on it only after being shamed on social media showing their work on the door had failed yet again. Door was working / all doors working when it went bye bye @ 12k miles.

WAS the sunny & warm day 16 lariat

What prompted them to just change the latches? I'm going to push HARD for this. Haven't been able to lock or unlock my drivers door since Christmas Eve....

They told me that the last TSB don't solve the problem(like on my truck), they checked for the recall and I wasn't eligible(because I had the last TSB), and they told me that they have to change parts, I waited a day for the parts (latches)
That's all I know

Wasn't directed to me, but after having all four done on the TSB last year they pulled mine apart two weeks ago when it froze, re-lubed everything, and called it good. Froze again the next cold night, so they looked deeper and actually tested the latch for tolerances and determined it was out of spec. I think if you ask them to also check the latch for the tolerances they might, but the way it was described to me is they first have to inspect and re-lube before Ford will consider the latch. FWIW

The wrencher curiosity in me is asking if the dealer techs said what a "latch tolerance" might be? Are we talking door alignment here or something specific to the latch mechanism itself? I gotta say after many years of wrenching I've never heard of "latch tolerance"? Bad latches, that I've heard of and also miss-aligned doors too.
Thanks!

I couldn't find any specs on the latches but there is a very comprehensive procedure to adjust and align the doors.

I had the actual latch replaced on one of my rear SuperCrew doors after the TSB failed to fix the issue. It worked for a while and then froze again.

I think any time they work on it/replace something, it's so full of grease that it keeps the moisture out for a while but eventually washes away and the issue happens again.
