so i got another new battery and hooked up the positive side of the battery and used the volt meter to check the neg post to the neg terminal and i did have a 11.5 volts going through it...so i pulled all the fuses with someone holding the volt meter on it and nothing happened....it just stayed at 11.5....so it seems like there is something else....

Wouldn't you have 12 volts regardless, doesn't the on board electronics such as the ECU impose a small load on the battery? something like 1-5 miliamps @ 12 volts. More a question than anything else.

well i just got done putting in another new alternator with a new battery..again...i thought i had found my draw which i believe i did but now its like im back to square one....i started up the truck and everything is running fine...still not reading over 12 while its running...its reading just slightly under 12 and while i have my radio on if i shift into gear (automatic) or i turn my turn signal on or turn my lights on the radio cuts out again.....what the hell is going on?!?!?!?! sorry to be asking this so much but any suggestions??

also im messing around with it a little trying to figure out what is goin on and also found out that if you just turn the key to the on position without turning the truck on and then try to turn the turn signals on it still cuts out even though the truck isnt on...so i was thinking it was something in the column so i was taking the front face off and i started the truck up and its also cutting out with the headlights on and pressing in the brake....so even the amount of power it takes to run the lights and push the gas peddle also makes it cut out....this is really annoying!
