Default whats the possible problem

Ok, I realize my truck is up there in miles and age, but I didnt care. I love my truck! she has a few things I would like to know what could be the problem, she has this issue of stahling after a long drive, she had died at the lite on me and would barley run, thank god I was close to home, I replaced the air filters and this seemed to help, along with some fuel treatment. I plan to give her a good tuneup with plugs wire's cap and rotor and oil change in the next week, I can only do a little at a time. other then the squeak that I cant seem to locate she runs good and dont give me much trouble. Im thinking the stahling is because she need new plugs, ext. I'm hoping after giving her the TLC she so need's this will remedy this problem. as far as the squeak I dont know if its the altenator barings or fan or from the power steering pump. I have put a new belt on and use the belt dressing, which at first made the squeal worse, but it has calmed down and isnt as bad, which makes me believe its coming from somewhere else. any clue's?

As far as the squeak, try wd40 on the belt, it actually works, the squeal is normal for serpantines, as far as the stalling, if its when you let off the gas, try cleaning the throttle body and air idle thing, usually with bad plugs\wires it will run rough almost all of the time.

What size engine you got? I replaced the belt on my T-Bird (5.0 liter engine) and it actually fit with the tensioner in the normal range...and the wrong routing. Every time I'd get on the gas it would squeal like no tomorrow. I routed the belt properly and the squeal vanished like last week's paycheck.

It's not normal for belts to squeak, the tensioner could be bad. I would check for codes and check the fuel pressure.

If you don't have a tensioner then you have to tighten the belts yourself. They are too loose.

do a tune up...if the cap and rotor is worn then spark may not be jumping the gap inside the rotor...coils go weak and the coil is taxed the hardest during idle...

good tune up and by all means injector cleaner but DONT use stuff like Gumout with Acetone or other derivatives...use Lucas lubes and cleans

stalling happend when coming to a stop at the light, after getting it started back up it would cough and sputter like it wasnt getting any gas or was flooded, barely got it home. checked the air filters, what a mess. changed those and put the belt dressing on the new belt, it does have a new tensioner pulley, it's still squeeked but not like it was, I'm thinking its from something else. can you put w-40 on the pulley's for the altenator or steering pump? maybe on the fan? after putting the new filter's in it ran much better, and I put some injector cleaner in it, too
