Default Vss problems

My truck threw a code for the vehicle speed sensor A, which one is that? I replaced both of them, one on the diff and the one on the side of the trans, both my speedometer and odometer are not working, everything else works fine, all the gauges and the abs light is not on, I read something about a speedometer/ odometer module. Does anyone know anything about this? Any help is greatly appreciated, thanks y'all.

'96 doesn't have a VSS on the transmission. Check the wires to the VSS, it's on the rear differental.

I think its an output shaft speed sensor he's talking about, on the LH side of the transmission right? I just looked up the part number on the pic, its for a 4R70W transmission
