Default towing

What do you people tow with your F150? I just pulled my trailer for the first time today, it did very well.

Here's a question then, I have a 93 with the inline 6 ( engine has 59k miles) , and next spring I plan on buying a 03 or 04 Mustang Cobra, do you think it would have any trouble trailering it to car shows and stuff? ( Dont want to put a lot of miles on the Cobra, if the show is more then 100 miles away ) Just got the truck and never towed more then a small Uhaul trailer before. Thoughts, opinions?

Pulling isn't a problem, it's stopping that you need to worry about. If you're going to pull that much weight, be sure the trailer has brakes.

Yes, don't use the bumper to pull anything. I used to pull my 10 foot box trailer with the bumper and it snapped off. I welded it back on and it snapped off again. Luckily it was barely hanging on so I didn't lose the trailer. Also if you have an automatic transmission then add an aftermarket tranny cooler.

my bumper is very stout and has a rating of 10,000 lbs stamped on it. I crawled underneath and believe that it could actually do that. I'm not using it though since I want weight distribution and sway control with something that heavy. I doubt my bumper is factory...

I also suggest installing a shift kit in your auto transmission in addition to a larger cooler. I did that as well as installed a temp gauge so I could tell exactly what the transmission is doing. I'd rather pull over and let the transmission cool than burn it up.

Good things to know. Thankfully, it's an manual ( lot more fun to drive ). Anything specific regarding towing with that? And what is a Reese? Brand or part? Never heard of it. Thanks guys
