Angry speedometer help!

okay, my speedometer was messing up on me so i replaced the sensor, cable, and speedometer now it does not work at all, when in transfer case and not hooked up in dash the cable spins. when hooked up to speedometer and not in transfer case but spin by hand it spins. when all hooked up it does not work, please help asap i dont wanna get a ticket.

The speedometer drive gear must be split. When no resistance it will spin but when hooked up it skips because the gear spins on the shaft.

okay, i replaces that because the old one broke many times, i just now found out there are different teeth options, how do i know how many teeth i need to get without having the old one? it is an automatic with E40D trans and 4x4 my speedometer is in the transfer case

Mine is yellow and I have had to replace it twice. Also, ymeski56 is right, they are color coded.
