I got one from the dealer once, they might still have them. Now I have several spares from old trannys.

I snapped my speedometer cable when I removed the cluster because I didn't push the cable back down and it was binding. Something isn't letting the cable spin freely so make sure the cable doesn't have any tight bends.

Next step I would pull the cluster and go for a drive so I could watch the cable spin.

okay, did this, it spun, i took it all apart then i hooked a drill up and spun some Pb blaster into cable to lubricate and cable snapped, waiting on new one from store. i am just really lost. lol. when it was working the needle would jump between a 5mph section. as in 25 to 30 and so on. once let up off of gas pedal the speedometer would jump down by 10 mph or so. is that a cable problem?if so how do i correct this so it will work correctly?
