Default speed sensor

Yo can anyone help me. I'm trying to find the speed sensor for my 91 5.0 v8. Automatic .. it would be cool if you can post a pic of where its at if not just like help me. Thanx

Right on top of the axle. Its the VSS (vehicle speed sensor) not the ABS sensor (well it sorta does both), sorry only pic i could find.

What year did it go from a cable to the tranny to a wire to the vss? I thought on a 91 it would still be a cable

I think 90 was the last they had it on the trans or transfer case.

'87-'91 have mechanical speedometers driven off the transmission (2wd) or transfer case (4wd). They also have the VSS/ABS on the rear end, and one on the speedo cable.
