Difficult. They're usually shot when you pickle fork them off so it doesn't matter but I suppose you could try a two jaw puller on it. It should just push the tie rod end (center link actually) out of the pitman arm without hurting it. Assuming you can get one on it. Not sure there. Or, can you leave the nut on the center link and tap it out maybe? Not sure there either.

Just reread your post. You're replacing the steering box right? You can get a pitman arm puller and remove the pitman arm from the steering box and put the whole works on the new one. Thus avoiding the whole center link issue.

Whack the pitman arm where the stud passes through with a big hammer while prying them apart, it will take a few times. Not the stud, the pitman arm around the stud. Or use a puller. Lines sound rusty, when they stick like that you usually have to twist it off and get a new line. But if you work it back and forth with lots of WD-40 then it might free up.

Umm, I don't think you're missing anything but don't you just hate that. Rusted/seized on the pipe. I'm guessing there's a lot of power steering fluid on the fitting so penetrating oil probably won't help much but then again, it couldn't hurt. Then you just turn it back and forth, each time trying to go a little further until it turns completely. Or breaks off. Anyway, at least you get it off I suppose. Guess a guy just does the best he can.

PB is good too. If it's the low pressure line about $5 and bend to fit.

its both.. the long one that goes down and loops and stuff, and the little short one that is about 4 inches long and then a rubber piece about a foot or so long and then another metal piece.

Looks like you're buying both. High pressure line is about $30.
