damnit.. when do you draw the line for puttin too much money in a truck? bought it for 3500 and i've put about 1000 into it for parts.

ok well i thought about it and decided to try to put a pipe wrench on it while i put a wrench on the nut and it worked. so i've got the old one off now. ill be puttin the new one on in the mornin at daylight lol. thanks for both of y'alls help! ill post again in the mornin if i have any questions/get it back on. thanks again.

ok got the new one on this morning and went to napa and got a quart of ps fluid and i filled it up, started it and it sucked some of it down into the pipes and all, and so i topped it off and it started doin that whining noise and now it wont stop.. what'd i do wrong? is this gonna go away? it didnt do it before.. did i just fill it too full?

Bleed it, turn the wheel back and forth to the stops. Don't hold it to the stops though. Dextron/Mercon III for the power steering, but the expensive crap you bought will work.

ahh hell.. so i can use trans fluid for the power steering? is turning it to the stops bleeding it?
