thats messed up man... ok yeah manual is way more fun to drive in my opinion but come on! haha. maybe someday i can do the switch. speaking of auto trans, how about a shift kit. any recommendations for those?

thats a good idea on the bigger snorkel for the air intake. one of those things i wish i would have thought of a long time ago.

i like the direction this thread is going though. keep it going and I will update on the mods i do as i do them and the gains i get. that might take a little while though. im on deployment right now but returning to my truck august 3rd.

anyone know where to find the fricken snorkel? iv checked all the yards around here and nothing. all the 9th gen f150s-350s are stripped clean.

you have to make them i don't think any f150 came with a snorkel

sorry i dont know the actual name of it. but im talking about the pipe that goes from just under the hood ontop of the support to the airbox. where the air goes into the airbox. the ones on the 4.9 and 5.8 are suppose to be less restrictive.

oh the upper air intake or the upper air box and they are hard to find look on Craigslist see if someones parting out a 1988-91 f150 it should be in them. call the local junk yards see if they can find one for you and ship it in or epay

You know what I did after my deployment? Bought this truck. Are you talking about the part that goes into the throttle body? (I thinks that's what its called....)

its the other part that comes from under the air filter to the top of the radiator

Well...he said upper....and the upper has the two big hoses that run to the TB right? Thanks though. If junkyards don't work....LMC!!!
