Question Performance Mod Question

After Goggle-ing and searching through numerous posts I still haven't got a solid opinion on what I want to know.

I want to get as much power out of my rebuilt '94 F150 as possible. I already have a nice dual exhaust setup. I have heard that a chip and air filter should be next on my list.

My ideas were a good set of shorty headers, a chip and a K&N cone filter.

As far as the chip goes I have looked on Summit at a Venom 400 Performance Module and I'm having some trouble actually figuring out what is right for my truck.

Anyway, any advice is better than me just looking on Summit and Jegs and not knowing what the outcomes are so, someone please help me out!

Thanks,
Matt

well cold air intake shorty headers are a good start chipping the ecu is kind of useless its an odb1 system so its very archaic in its on way. you can change the rear gears out to 4.10s for a better responsive truck.

Upgrade the ignition system & advance your base timing 4-6 degrees.
See link:http://fullsizebronco.com/forum/show...ht=timing+bump

Go w/ just the K&N drop in filter, unless your engine is MAF.

Getting my stuff together now...got a thread and everything. I second the drop in filter.

Why is it every time I think of cold air intake I imagine someone running a hose or something from an a/c duct to the filter box? I know (sort of) what it actually is....but still....

Does the K&N drop in filter give you the same benefits as the whole new air intake because I was looking at buying one of the cone filters too

Ok so from what I've gathered the masses say:

-K&N Drop in
-Shorty Headers (any recommendations?)
-New Ignition System (I've always used MSD in the past?)
and advance my timing

As far as changing out the rear gears goes... What all does that entail? They say there is no such thing as a stupid question but I'm honestly not too sure what this accomplishes?

Thanks again guys
