Post modifications

I have a 94 f150 4.9L 5spd and was wondering if i will get any noticeable get up and go out of the engine by doing the following...
i already have exhaust with flowmaster 40 and no cat and smog pump gone and all emissions removed and cai
thinking about putting throttle body spacer, and then doing this http://www.bigblocksix.com/Eddie/injectorswap/
putting 20lb injectors and bumping the timing up
or would it just be a total waste of money..
i know these engines are not made for power and to go fast but mine is fairly gutless and i just need a bit more out of it to be somewhat happy

thanks
any suggestions are greatly appreciated

The throttle body spacer is garbage. I don't know about the injector swap. How high do you rev?

The factory tach in my '87 only goes to 6K and redline starts at 5700. The newer trucks don't have the redline on them at all so I assume redline is slightly higher for those. I don't take mine past 4K much and it pulls the whole way. A lot of people shift these way too early and I wanted to make sure you weren't one of them.

oh no i make sure to shift not too low probably 4000 or so...just so its high enough to get the most out of that gear then on to the next...do you have any ideas on how i can get a bit more power out of it just so its not too gutless
thanks

The TB spacer is junk like Sean said.....the injector swap isn't gonna help you unless you get a tune from TwEECer or Moates Quarterhorse etc etc...... The biggest thing would be a gear swap.....3.73's or 4.10's. That engine is made to be a chugging stump puller not a racer.....Underdrive pulleys may suit you well also. Bumping the timing up will definitely help.

8.8 out of any F150 or bronco...the ones in the Explorers are too narrow.

Those injectors would be a waste of money when you buy them & every time you filled your tank after installing them. Think utilizing what you have to it's fullest. Like an ignition upgrade & timing bump. As for the TB spacer, see the picture under my name!

See what ratio you have in there now. It's on a tag bolted to the differential cover.
