Default Keep it or sell it...

Man I Am depressed about this but my War Machine. It has a mega gash in the drivers floor all the way down the side, firewall to rear corner, there is about a basket ball size chunk missing from the floor along with rust bubbles going to the transmission tunnel I have yet to look under the seat but i would guess its the same deal therethe rocker panel on both sides are rusted up bad...

So far body work and I have been slugging it out and i thought i was winning, I was total wrong i need an entire driver side floor possibly passenger side as well. Then the rear bed sides are falling apart and one front fender is is going bad. everything on my truck is in good shape just 116,8xx miles on it engine is fine trans is fine along with everything else the body is just gone... I have little to no experience with welding or body work. what should i do? I love it want to keep it but it will never pass inspection with out 600 bucks of body work. i can sell it for about a grand around here just due to it runs and its 4x4 if i add my 800 dollar tires tannau and tool box maybe 1500. i would probably get another 1992-1996 f150 with that cash. why god why!

to me that sounds like a lot of work. You need to find a buyer, then find a new truck you think is worth it which could have different costly needs, or drop your truck off at body shop, get it taken care of and have a solid truck. Or find a friend with some experience and learn how to weld, and do body work.

But what happens if you sold your truck then couldn't find one for a little if its your dd what would you drive in the down time? Then you buy a truck for 1500 and if that needs another 500 in repairs two months down the rd?

now i would be in the same boat here just with more work i am unable to do. I can fix 99% of the mechanical and chassis just not body work i am trying to find time to practice welding just really busy trying to get ahead in life...

I hate to say this but i can trade my f150 for a mote Carlo ls with the 350 small block all it needs is headlights installed

I am very good at getting cars and trucks only issue is another f150 in better shape then mine and price... i can trade my truck for a dodge Chevy or gmc quick but id rather get another f150

Who the hell would pay 1000 bucks for a rusted out truck!!! Lol trucks must be pricey in your area!
If you trade for a monte Carlo you might as well grow a mullet and start dating your cousin!! Lmao!! Jk dude! If you were up here I would weld floor pans in for you so you could keep your truck!!

If you want to keep your truck look for another f150 with a decent body and start switching parts over.

My fiends had an old truck and the floor rusted out so we "borrowed" stop signs and used that as sheet metal for the flooring. Then just bought some cheap carpet form biglots.
