Default Ignition Help

I have 91 F150 w/ a 351. I was replacing a ignition module under dash. When replaced, I turned the key and the rod that slides the ignition module came out the slot it's suppossed to stay in and as a result arcing accured and everythng went dead. I busted out the chilton manual and have found that the ignition relay has power and is good. The ignition module is new aswell. I looked through all the fuses and they are all good. I suspect it could be the computer/brain of the truck or something between the computer and ignition module. I haven't found any other fuses or componets that would show otherwise. As of now when the key is turned nothing comes on. Any ideas out there?

Check your fusible link down by the starter. Check the solenoid on the firewall and try jump it. See if the truck turns over. There are more fusible links but someone will have to tell you more.

The fusible links are bolted to the solenoid on the passenger side fender. There may be one or two near the relays by the air box as well as one or two near the drivers side firewall.

I did short the solenoid on passanger firewall and the engine does turn over. I will indeed look for the fusible links mentioned. Thank you to you both.

As a side note, the rod mentioned above got inside the ignition module and acred inside the old module. Is it possible it could be the computer as when I turn the key to accessories nothing comes on?

Check your fuses inside as well. That is what these things are there for to protect the computer and electrical system of the truck.

I got the truck used so I hope the fusible links are there. But on the passanger side under hood I did'nt see any. I looked arounf the solenoid and didn't see any jump out at me. I need the construction paper and crayons.
