Default Help- engine turning off

I have a 1987 Ford F150. I have been having problems with the engine just turning off while driving. If I turn the ignition off and on several times to prime the fuel pump, it will turn on and hesitate a little. I have replaced the fuel pump in the tank, and the primary pump on the frame rail (on the driver side). I have also put a new distributor with the modular, also replaced the air control and speed control censor. If anyone has any suggestions please let me know, thanks.

If you're still having problems, that means all of those parts were more or less good...

Do a fuel pressure check.

how do you check the fuel pressure? The truck starts without any problems. I could drive it for two or three days put on 80-100 miles witout a problem. I'll be driving and it just shuts off. Wait for a while open the ignition a couple of times, and it will start up.

With a fuel pressure tester. You can buy one, or just rent it at most auto parts stores. They come with instructions.

To be honest, with the manner you're throwing parts at this thing you'd save money paying someone else to fix it.

I am still having problems with the truck turning off. Today I disconnected the fuel line that comes out of the fuel pump in the rear tank and opened the ignition and fuel came out. Then I checked between the high pressure pump and the fuel filter, opened the ingnition and no fuel came out. After that I disconnected the fuel line that goes to the fuel reservior canister ( that's for the duel tanks valve) no fuel came out. Then I disconnected the fuel line that goes between the rear tank and the fuel reservior canister, opened the ignition and fuel came out. Notes: I have only a rear tank and no front tank. The switch on the dashboard is on rear tank only. I have not responded because I have not been working on the truck.

Thank you for time and help.
