Default help with codes, and tranmission

i just bought a 1995 f150 and have ran into a few issues. first off i knew when i got it that the transmission was acting funky when shifting. if you put it in drive and drive along it over revs 1st and shifts hard to second then shifts weird to all the other gear as well. but i have noticed when driving "normally" if it shifts to second and the rpm's are not high enough it drops starts shaking and sounds like it wants to die...now for the interesting part. if i drop it to first and turn o/d off and then manualy shift thru 1st, 2nd, 3rd and then kick in o/d it does just fine.

i dont have a scanner but the CEL is on and i researched and found the following codes.

12- cannot control rpm during er self-test high rpm check
21- ect out of self test range 0.3-3.7v
22-map/bp sensor out of self test range
122-tps circuit below min 0.6v
565-canister purge circuit failure

any advise where to start. i havent done much work recently but i was think the code 12, and 122 are related putting transmission in "limp mode", as far code 21 and 22 goes sounds like a ect sensor is bad and a map sensor, then comes code 565...and i dont have the slightest idea.

am i im the right ballpark?

Define researched and found the following codes please?

If those codes are right the ect is bad and so map sensor. Your TPS is also likely bad. The canister purge I believe is a vacuum issue. I think the 12 will disappear when the tps is replaced. So first thing I would do is the tps it is the easiest, then the map, then the ect.

But thats just me. Someone else may know or do differently then I would.

You totally f*cked up the codes. '95 has all 3 digit codes.

ok as far as "researched and found codes" i was referring to figuring out how to get the CEL flash codes and printed out a paper saying what code was what.

does the 2 and 3 digit code base off of year b/c i was told being it is a February 95 truck it might have a different computer that a late 95.

i tried resetting computer by pulling off negative terminal for about 2 mins, but then i reading and i actually need to redo that and keep it off for like 30 mins to completely drain it down.

i been searching on here and seen a few people say that a ECT code could be b/c the truck wasn't warm, as well as the TPS code (something about you have to check for full closure of TB and actuate the throttle as being tested, which this might affect the self test rpm code) but as far as the map code and the canister code im still lost. going to do some vacuum checks, it might be a problem then b/c today i noticed the a/c kept randomly changing from floor to vent by itself, and i believe the vent control is vacuum operated. correct???

ok so i had a buddy of my dads come by and put his snap-on scanner on and came up with code 122(tps) and 565(canister purge valve), the tps is dead it isnt getting no reading and we even disconnected it and nothing changed. so i going to pick up a senor tomm and a t/b gasket(any idea how it will take to replace)

now for the hard part the canister purge valve, i been calling around and no one has it in stock and rather costly at 120 from auto zone (special order). any suggestions as to what other options i have. being the valve don't affect driving , should i just say screw it?
