now for the hard part the canister purge valve, i been calling around and no one has it in stock and rather costly at 120 from auto zone (special order). any suggestions as to what other options i have. being the valve don't affect driving , should i just say screw it?
If you leave the throttle body on, it takes about 2 beers. A tamperproof phillips head screw, treated w/ an anti vibration paste (because it mounts upside down). Doesn't need any more added when you re-use the screws.

ok really confused now. i was told the canister purge valve needed replacing, then this guy pointed me to a solenoid about 2" from TB that hooks to a vacuum port then runs over to a canister on the passenger fender. been tiring to find this part but when i pull up auto zone and see the picture it looks nothing like what i have(i know pictures arent always right but...) what is the solenoid he pointed to and said replace that? it looks to be about 1.25" round and has 2-1/8" ports on the bottom, one runs to bottom of TB and then comes off and run to that canister on TB....is this the right solenoid or do i need to be looking for something else and this guy is a idiot?

here's a pic of what he said replace

or do i need this?
