Default Headliner console

I've never seen anybody do this, so I thought I would post what I have done to my truck. I was at the wrecker the other day and found the console in a 2005 f150, always wanted one in the truck, but never found one. Paid forty bucks for it which I thought was reasonable. I snipped the pig tail with it so I had somewhere to connect wires to. Here's a couple pictures of it. Installed, no cutting. There's a super small gap in the front from the curve of the headliner. But it's so minor it doesn't bother me.

yeah now those are nice! some guy had one in his, he did say its a bit annoying doing the wiring adding the extra speakers if you got a stock radio but other then that its great looks really nice too. his was tan.

to the OP, they actually had over head consoles stock on the luxury package f150s and broncos. however they are very hard to find. i only found one online and it was not complete.

Very nice. So how did you attach it? And am I understanding correctly that you ran wires so the light is functional?

Collector, I would get black and was going to paint it and airbrush it and put aftermarket speakers in. I have an aftermarket headunit so I should be able to wire it a little easier than stock lol

I attached it using screws through the compartment for the glasses aspect. It seems pretty solid so no worries with it ever coming out. I ran the power wire from the lights to the center light in the headliner and tapped into that and ground through the roof of the cab. It was a super easy clean install. The only difficulties I had was tryig to get the lights to work properly as the power board that controls everything for the lights had pieces burnt out preventing it to light.

Reminds me that I have this for a project kicking around. Have the compass and air temp on it just need to fit it to the headliner.
