The temp sensor has 1 wire to the module in the headliner and one to ground bolted in front of the rad. The entire compass/temp module is the circuit board display you see.

The basic wiring needed you be a hot always for light, hot in run for the module and the temp sensor. No need to run the dimmer lights unless you wanted them and the wires to the radio and VCM.
