Default header swap

I have a 95 f150 with 4.9 i was looking on sumit racings website and found hedman headers for a carbed 4.9 that are for dual exhaust like mine but 2.5 in on the colector could i put these on my truck or do i need to find one for a fi model?

I don't think it will work since your head has injector ports on it for the fuel injectors to be locked into. If you were doing a carb swap then yes it will work.

other members have done it here.... they will work but you will need to either dimple the header tube or notch the frame on one of the tubes

That Hedman header man beware all the holes do not line up and wont clear some ports of your intake. It is like they did not drill some holes or grind enough into it to clear. I did it on my 4.9 that was fuely and converted, but its on now and sounds good. Was a huge pain in the tail but it sounds deeper but I have also have true duels with an x pipe with Flowmaster 40 series. Have any other questions let me know.

I was under the impression the carbureted has fewer bolts but in the same location as fuel injected.

I got the stuff to drill it and gring it but will the exhaust holes line up?

They will line up. I'm eventually going to put the HD manifold on mine.

The headers have a 2.25 outlet a piece and the hd manifold is 3.5...
Making headers 4.5 compared to an hd's 3.5

Go with headers....obviously
