I had an American Thunder kit from Flowmaster on my '95 5.8 Eddie Bauer and it was much quieter than I expected (super 50 series muffler ), so I gutted the cat out and that made it sound better. The fit was nice and came with options for rear duals or side rear duals.

Due to the emissions testing here, I might need to leave the cat. I have two so I can get rid of one and where is the resinator? After the second cat i think, right?

High flow cats from Jegs and other places don't cost that much. Maybe you can replace it and it will sound louder with high flows.
