What voltage rate coil?

What did you gap to?

Notice a performance difference at 14-15 BTDC?

Two things come to mind on your dismal results w/ Seafoam. Ok...3.
1. Engine must be prewarmed to norm. op. temp. first.
2. Pour as fast as possible w/o completely stalling out & shut off engine immediately.
3. after 20 mins., restart & rev repeatedly, until smoke subsided for the most part, then take it for an aggressive drive.

Which one(s) did you not do?
It was at operating temp. I had just been driving on the interstate for about 20 minutes, doing about 60-65. I was pouring pretty fast but was also trying to keep in mind the 1/3 measurement for each area (brake booster, engine, and fuel tank) it did bog down, just not die like most people say it does.

Then I waited 20 minutes, started up (no problem starting at all) and would rev and idle every 10 seconds or so until the smoke cleared. Then another drive on the highway for about 15 minutes.

I'll be doing another oil change in 2-3 weeks and I can seafoam again just before then if you think its necessary.

I used a regular inductive timing light, cheapest they had at pep boys. Worked fine. The only reason I thought it was back on its original mark was because there was a clear line between the grime and where the hold down had been covering. I might have smeared it though without realizing it.

Gapped to .055
Haven't driven it since I fixed it, yet. Had some chores to do.

when I figure it out I'll post it here. Might not be until this next weekend. I don't have much time after work to do anything with my truck except weekends. Maybe Wednesday at the earliest I'll be looking at it again. But Thursday I get wisdom teeth pulled so I'll be drugged up for a couple days.

I drove from Alaska to Illinois 3 days after I got all 4 of my wisdom teeth surgically removed, you'll be fine just use the drugs when you need them...

But I'm in the army, and when they do something to you (medically) they just love giving you the strong stuff. Plus I get a couple days of quarters. Can't really be running around when they expect me to be all drugged up.

If .55 is stock, I would have at least gone .60.

You have a lot of self control. Doing the upgrade & bump, & not going for a drive!

For the 302 .044 is stock.
I did the upgrade awhile ago. Just never did the bump. Ill probably go drive in a couple hours. Need to clean my truck out anyway.

The civilian doctors prescribe the good stuff. I'm not talking about sick call or medics or the sh***y army PAs. The civilians give pain killers and muscle relaxers like candy. Its sort of ridiculous for some of the stuff I've seen them give it for.
