E85
Suggest the conversion to be a bad idea. The models designed to use E85 utilize fuel system components with a higher resistance to corrosion.
Also suggest the stock computer may not be able to correct for the lower energy content enough to keep the O2 sensor happy.
Finally, general rule-of-thumb is that E85 needs to be priced about 3/4 that of regular fuel to get the fuel cost per mile to even out. This is why I don't use the stuff even in my flex fuel Impala.

One big advantage to E85 is you can run more advance without knocking and much higher compression. However its true our trucks are not designed to operate ideally with it. Now if you are building an engine you can take advantage of these perks. Also check your fuel hoses. E85 and lower blends that are common in many areas destroy old rubber fuel lines.

No need to rebuild, our engines will run on it the only thing is larger injectors and a different fuel curve is needed, and replace every rubber hose and seal in the fuel system, alcohol is a corrosive and you burn about twice the alcohol compared to gas. Dont give in to the liberal hippie enviro tards by using it. There is "NO" advantage by using it except to the feda and fuel companies by the revenue generated for using more, the idiot libs just claim it cleans the air and makes the air cleaner and greener. Total BS, Its my right to put out as much carbon emissions and increase my carbon foot print as much as I want.
When you fuel up next time look closely at the pump. In SoCal there is almost no where to get fuel that doesn't say "contains up to 5% E85". So watch your hoses especially on older carburated vehicles and treat any stored fuel. Ethanol breaks down faster than gas. I went to start my mustang the other day and found the fuel line had disintegrated. However ethanol does have its advantages as a fuel. That's why they run it in drag cars and ban it in NASCAR. You just have to use it right. Unfortunately with most vehicles designed the way they are there is no advantage. But expect to see more of it in the future. It's the only non fossil fuel that makes sense. It runs on all cars with little modification and can be processed pumped and sold in the existing infrastructure. No other alternative fuel can do all this.

like he said. i get 11mpg now why would i want 8mpg? the e85 cost about the same as the real deal and if you notice there prices go up and down too
