Silly Grasshopper! Here's a short course: https://www.f150forum.com/f10/heads-...05/#post623219

If it didn't make a difference, I wouldn't waste either of our time asking. There's a little more to it than just the code #'s. Re-read pg.23-28 of your manual if you have the Innova/Equus #3145.

Yep I read that already. As far as I can tell the 332 is KOEO.

Last night I tried the seafoam trick, but it didn't do much. I followed the directions. Sucked it in while the motor was warm. Poured it slowly into the brake line vacuum. It didn't want to stall like in the video, but I had easily put in a half container. So I put the remaining halfs into the gas and the oil. Went inside and had dinner, then came out and started it up. It smoked a bit. However not billowing like in some of the other videos. Then I drove away, leaving a trail of smoke for about half a mile.

Am I doing the test wrong? I read those directions as well. I don't remember what model scanner I got, just the one recommended in the ODB1 Sticky. I turn off the scanner, and the truck is warm, but off, no key. Then I plug in the big harness 1st, then the one pin harness. Put the key in the ignition, and turn it to ON but not starting the engine. Then I turn on the reader, and press scan. The triangle flashes for a bit, and eventually it shows codes. Isn't that right for at least KOEO?

Continuous memories are shown after the active KOEO's or if no active KOEO's you'll see an 11 or 111. then Continuous memories. If no C/M's, you'll see 11 or 111 again.

Oh, I recall seeing an 111 in there somewhere. But since it's ALL OKAY I ignored it.

20 Minutes is the sweetspot. Less than that & especially more than that is less effective. Even more important is that the engine is preheated to normal operating temp just prior to application.

If you look at the Fault code definitions, 332 is denoted as a C/ continuous memory & a R/KOER code only. 332 will never be seen as a O/KOEO.

Thinking about it. insufficient EGR flow could not occur during KOEO, because the engine would have to be running in order to not have enough flow.

20 minutes is the sweet spot for what? The seafoam treatment or the warm up period.

Regarding the KOER test when do I press the brake and OD button turn the wheel and press the gas?

20 minute Seafoam treatment after engine prewarmed to norm op temp.

In Manual, Page 35/ top: After 10 code flashes.
