Default Decode my CEL

Greetings, I read the entire sticky on how to pull the CEL codes from my 1995 F-150. (Thanks for all the great information in that sticky!)

I have done this before on my RX-7, so I was a bit perplexed by the output of codes this truck gave me. I decided to shoot a quick video of it with my Droid to show to you guys to get a second opinion. Please watch the video and let me know what codes you think are being displayed. I have already ordered the Ford code finder mentioned in the sticky, but I don't expect it to come before the long weekend. Thanks for your help!

I hate counting flashes. This is key on engine off, right?

Correct. The key is in the ON position, and the engine is not on.

I'd say, no "active" error codes. But you do have a Continuous Memory error code. #172. Hego sensor fault/ Lean

How many miles on your O2 sensor ahead of the Cat?

Well the CEL light does come on while driving. The truck has 250k miles on it, and the previous owner did not provide me with the paperwork. So it's anyone's guess as to how old the O2 sensors are.

...and your MPG leaves a little to be desired.

True, I am only getting 15MPG. I knew it would be bad, but I didn't think I'd be able to use an entire tank of gas just going 185 miles on a weekend.

Well, 172 as an active could be a few things. 172 as a C/M & no other actives usually means the o2 sensor itself. I recommend replacement of o2 ahead of the Cat at 60K miles for best MPG. 100K miles at the absolute most. o2 after the Cat, not so critical.

Disconnect Battery, Replace o2. Reconnect Battery...good to go!

After 25-50 miles, retest.

15mpg on a 95 f150 w/ 250,000 mi is not too bad.

185 miles on a full tank at 15 mpg would mean his tank only holds a hair over 12 gallons.

185 miles w/ a full 17 gal tank = 10.9 mpg

185 miles w/ a full 19 gal tank = 9.7 mpg
