Clutch problem?
I recently had my clutch replaced in my 1995 F150 10 days ago. When I was leaving work tonight I couldnt take off in 1st or 2nd gear, like I lost both gears. When trying to take off in 1st or 2nd its like I'm stuck in Neutral and can not take off unless its in 3rd.. Any ideas on what the cause is? I'm pretty sure the clutch hasnt given out on me, it was just replaced 10 days ago, unless they did a crap job on installing the new clutch?
Edit: It is also tough to just shift into 3rd, 4th, 5th and R. It is pretty easy to shift into 1st and 2nd... but cant move in 1st and 2nd!

DUDE,
I am having similar problems, slightly different in that I am able to go, but can't get out of 1st to 2nd. I have to put it in neutral and place somewhere in 3rd. I recently replaced my clutch mechanics all the way to the Master cylinder and hydraulic line.

I had this issue with a older Ranger. I didn't bleed it correctly...is what the mechanic told me.
At the moment the only cause for your problem I can think of would be a broken shift fork. The same fork shifts 1st and 2nd. The good news is you can check it without pulling the transmission, but you may have to pull the seat. Remove the shifter and pull back the carpet from around the hole. There is a floor plate that unscrews which should give you enough room to pull the top cover from the tranny. If you had a mechanic change the clutch then I wouldn't recommend you do this yourself.
I talked to a mechanic about the problem and he told me that it sounds like a broken shift fork, like you suggested could be the problem, or could be a pin that fell out. My next question is, is it possible to check for a missing pin with the method you suggested about removing everything from the inside of the cab without having to drop the tranny? Is it possible to replace the fork with this method without having to drop the tranny also? I'm a cheap guy and just dropped $500 on the clutch to be replaced 11 days ago and dont feel like dropping another $500 for a mechanic to drop the tranny and replace the fork(s).
If your hole is as small as mine, there isn't much room, but it isn't impossible. It was mentioned about lining up some things when replacing the cover if removed, how tricky is it. I think that something may have broken in mine but I don't know. I am having to force it into gear, but it eventually started working alright. I am going to have to check my bleeding, but i don't see that being a problem.

Sounds like Goldrice and I have the same problem. Bummer he had the clutch replaced then this. I already have the both sticks out Transfer and trans. I see the bolts for the cover. should I put the stick back on before take the rest of it out? keeping it in one peice?
