Default Cheap and low?

Yeah I know ive been talking about bags for awhile, but im just tired of seeing my truck unlevel and i figured id just chop/cut to lower as im gonna remove most of what i alter when i install my bags anyway. Question is how do i do it? Just start taking leaves out the back and cut the springs up front same on both sides? I know it sounds like garbage but i just want change, until i get enough for my bag setup.

Wait until you have the money for the bags. Dont go hacking it up and compromise the saftey of the vehicle just because you think it will look a little better.

Cutting or changing the springs will lower it in front, but the tires will tip in at the top because of the I-beams. You won't be able to align them straight. Get a set of universal shackles for the rear, about $20 and you can drop it 1, 2, or 3 inches.

you can only go 2'' with the rear shackle, it will hit the bed any higher, thats why they sell the 2" drop front spring hanger.

I guess the spring would hit the bed. I know it would be close but I wasn't sure how low you could go with shackles, but that's how the universal ones come 1, 2, 3 " depending on what hole you use.

the bed issue there talkin about is with a bed cross member when the truck sits normal it just barely clears it but when the back end of the truck comes up the mount stands up and hits but its nothin to bad
all though there a pain to put on without a good impact

Yes cutting the springs is the cheapest way to go...you will not be happy though. This makes the ride terrible! Especially on such a heavy truck, my buddy did it on his ricer and i laughed everytime i followed him anywhere cause it bounced all over the place.

Lol yeah i used to have a 82 s10 the guy before me chopped and lowered and it was nuts driving that thing on the local highway. See we have alot of dips on our southbound lane and yeah lets just say it was a blast driving it home. *sat about 2 inches from the ground.

Its the bed itself. I've got 2'' shackles and its really close.
