Default A/C version of the heater core

So the heater uses a heater core to introduce the heat into the wind system... What does the A/C use? I never hear of it, and have no idea what it looks like or what it's called.

I keep hearing ads on the radio around here for cleaning your air conditioner coils on a house HVAC system, and I was wondering if the same idea could be applied to vehicles. if something gets dirty and may hinder the efficiency of the A/C system. Input?

How does it get from there into the air system? Isn't the condenser full of just freon?

The evaporator would be more like the opposite of a heater. It's what the fan blows the cold off of.

Correct...

the Evaporator is the cooling core in the heater box... the door switches between teh two when teh dial is switched from heat to cold...

if you want to know how an AC system works just google it... its a very simple system...the orifice in the screen is where all the magic happens...

The thing I love about this year F150 is I can use the AC as heat in the winter. This won't work on very many cars and is great for those cold mornings when the truck has not yet warmed up.

I'm curious what you mean by that too?

Do you mean turning it on to put a load on the engine assuming it will warm quicker?
