Default 1986 Stepside Bed

Can I put a stepside bed from an 86 on my 93 shortbed without any modifications or will I have to adjust some stuff? How do y'all think it will look, personally in think it will look pretty good maybe even better than the 92-96 flareside beds. Also how much do you think one of these beds is worth, I found it on craigslist and I don't want to get burned.
Thanks

wow, I don't know. You could check LMC Truck for dimensions. Maybe they have something. I have an '85 stepside, I don't know anything about the '93

Yea I'm going to do some reasearch on it when I get a chance, I just figure if anyone knew it offhand it would be easier. Do you happen to know the dimensions of your stepside?

I've seen some single can step sides around that year for $2K but most of those were "well worn"...

Wow, that's a lot more than I was expecting. I was thinking somewhere in the mid hundreds.

It should go on fairly easily. '87 and before have the wood floors, not steel. They also used that same box since the '50s but with different fenders so I wouldn't think it should be particularly expensive.

If you add up the components, it's about $1000 for all new. What kind of dimensions are you looking for? Around the outside, inner, bolt locations? I have to start marking these down anyway, so I can share out to you, do you need those?

The dimensions of the bed rails would be great if you get a chance. If not no big deal, it seems like it should fit.
