This should help you detach the cable from the cluster ! Also the bulbs from the back are the black tabs and you turn them a quarter turn and pull them out .

There's a clip on the cable that holds it to the speedometer gear housing, but I usually just take out the bolt and pull out the housing.

I got the bulbs in there. They aren't as bright as the other ones because I used blue coated bulbs, but they match the blue painted interior and the blue under-dash LEDs I got. I'm glad it's not too bright, it looks kind of like a dulled out light, it's very nice. Too bad I don't have a good camera! Thanks for your help everyone it means a lot.

Anyone know about how to solve a speedometer issue on a 1993 f150 with the 4.9L 300 and M5OD-R2? It only has one speed sensor, the VSS in the rear axle, which I replaced. I also did a gauge cluster swap from a 1992. The odometer seems to be okay, but the speedometer only reads between 10 to 20 mph, then drops back to 0 at higher speeds. What's going on?? This thing baffles me, and I really need to get it fixed. Any thoughts??
