Default Bench Seat Repairs

The bench seat in my 96 F150 standard cab felt like you were sitting on the floor boards and had to sit with some weird contorted posture. Come to find out that the metal bracing in the back and the springs on the bottom were all busted up. Previous owner must have been a big boy. In his defense it did have about 190K on it. After calling every junkyard in a 100 mile radius with no luck finding a replacement in better shape then mine, I bit the bullet and took it into a local upholstery shop. The welded up the broken bracing and repaired the busted springs as well as recovered it. It looks like new in my opinion. I think the local shop did a great job and it was money well spent, I know my butt appreciates it. Just goes to show that the best work can be done by local small businesses.

Just thought I would share .....
