Default Fixing squat

Hello. I recently picked up a 1996 4x4 single cab and it's got a 3" squat as measured from the top of the wheel arches. I was considering 3-in blocks, but wondering if there might be a better option out there. I've looked at add a leaf options but I can only see lifts that might bring the rear up 1- 1/2 to 2 in. and that's not enough. I know some people really enjoy the look, but it's not for me.

Besides removing the front, adding blocks to the rear is how you would get 3” that I’m aware of.

Looked again it already has a 3" block in back.
I'm thinking;
4" lift in back (new leafs and shocks) and
Leave the 3" block for a 1" rake. I can always use a smaller block and back later if the rake irritates me.

Seems like a no brainer but I'm no expert. What am I not considering?

If you have 3” blocks, change them for 6” or drop the front some.

I don't know why but a 6 in block seems like a lot. I know it's not stacking them and it would definitely be cheaper. But 6 in?. Am I being overly cautious? I expect to build out the motor and I have concerns about axle wrap.

Not sure how I'd drop the front that much. I expect I'll be learning a bunch from this little project

What's the details on the current front suspension setup causing it to be nose-high?

i had a built 383 stroker in a 73 blazer on a 6” blocks. Look at Caltracs if you’re worried about axle wrap. Doing any rear suspension work would be a great time to install them! Overly cautious just means you don’t want it tearing apart on your first stomp!

Someone else mentioned, and I would agree, that it's not so much that it's nose high but that the rear was never really lifted. That said, I freely admit. I'm not sure what they did. It looks like it's 4 in overstock in front, has a 3-in block and the rear, and it's still 3 in lower than the front. Whatever the case, it's not a good look in my opinion
