Did you run a relay on your fogs or just plug them into the factory harness?

The factory wires cannot support the extreme voltage that HID ballasts demand to ignite the bulbs. This shortage results in one of two results. a) most of the time the ballast won't last long and will die prematurely or b) in rare cases the wires catch fire and burn up your truck.

As you can see, using a fused harness right to the battery is a good idea.

Yes, Morimoto makes the best aftermarket ballasts by FAR. Of course, I also strongly recommend the projector retrofit. Go read around at HIDplanet.com for ideas.

Default HID headlight question

Got a question, I am wanting to get some HID lights and have seen some on ebay and other sites, some of them say they come with 1 hi/low controller or a a relay harness... are those the same thing? sorry for the question I am a HID virgin...thx guys

I havnt gotten any yet but was thinkn on gettn the Xenon kit...http://www.ebay.com/itm/HID-Conversi...item33552866d6 and yes I would be installing them my self..

there not hard at all... like maybe 10 min per light....I am just tryn to figure out it Iwill need a relay or not...
